Welcome.

My name is P and I’m a child of the 1970s & 80s.  I grew up on the music from my days and the days of my parents, which in my opinion, is far superior to 99% of the music being released today.  This blog is dedicated to all the things I like that are old school, funk, soul, rock, and in some cases, gospel.  I may tell a story or two about the way the posts make me feel, but for the most part, the old advertisements and images will probably speak for themselves.

Again, I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the music, my parents (Rebecca Jo & Willie Lee), and tons of my friends…namely Dj Strictnine, Ian Rogers, Dozanova, Dj Marvski,  and Rob Rock.

Btw, I’m bad with credits, dates, etc..but I’ll try to do my best when I can.

I’m finding all sorts of stuff as I attempt to put together a comprehensive collection / catalog. Tons of pictures. Tons of songs. Tons of beats. The photos above are from a 2007 trip I took to Dj Strictnine’s Ism Labs in South Bend, IN. We started recording there as kids back in 1986 and the room is still being used to record in to this day. I think every rapper in the region has come to record there….it definitely smells like it.
