The latest music video from Bambu, “Paper Thin,” pairs the Los Angeles emcee with Chace Infinite (half of the West Coast supergroup, Self Scientific). The newest song from the EP, …paper cuts… released earlier this year, aggressively attacks the active gentrification in urban America. The music video was shot in New York City, between Woodside, Queens and the Lower East Side in Manhattan. Bambu’s next project sees him teaming up with DJ Muggs for a mixtape dropping on Soul Assassins before the year’s over. Also, the highly anticipated hat collaboration between Bambu x Soul Assassins x Pnoy Apparel will drop in conjunction with the mixtape.

The artists met a man by the name of Ralph Woodruff aka Chato and were inspired by this man’s past hardships, experiences and overall outlook on life. His ability to recognize his mistakes and atone for his sordid past was something that resonated with RETNA. The text which reads, “So today I’m trying to change a few things to rectify the situation of my past. Fan-filmed video footage of SID, the new solo project of SLIPKNOT DJ Sid Wilson (a.k.a. DJ Starscream), performing the song “Nervous Central” on August 26, 2010 at the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines, Iowa can be viewed below. (Note: The track doesn’t properly kick in until around the 1:50 mark.) Wilson fronts the group, which also features guitarist 9 Ballz, drummer Big Mike, DJ “A-Roc Impossible” and back-up vocalist, Omaha rapper Jamazz.
