A label with janktified releases?
April 15, 2008 – 3:51 pmDunno. I’ve had intentions on putting out so much stuff over the years and never got around to it with all the other crap I have going on. When I was super broken, I was one of those guys who despised people who supported the arts but were too stingy to put out 12” singles. Hip Hop isn’t hip hop if you’re not out on vinyl right? Real hip hop would never go for Serato or CDJs right? Looking back on the past ten years and how much money I lost on putting out vinyl (not to mention all the money that was lost by my friends who supported me)…I’m definitely now one of those guys I despised.
I still use real samplers, spit raw shit, and have hopes & dreams, but it’s amazing how much the tables of life can turn in ten years. The shit talking rapper who grew up, expanded his mind, ran with a parallel career, and who now has the ability to bring something new to the table is the gent who is writing this post. So, to answer the original question, I have a record label that has done very little in the past, but with only music to work on at this point, things should change.
